Columbus Children’s Choirs are a wonderful way to introduce your child to a lifetime of music. Children entering grades 3-12* audition for our five home choirs. Acceptance and placement is based on a singers aptitude, experience, and maturity. CCC conductors teach using the Kodály philosophy of music education. This method helps singers learn to read music as well as they sing, and instills values of community and interpersonal relationships. Choirs perform in a Fall, Winter, and Spring concert as well as special events throughout the year, such as Holiday Pops with the Columbus Symphony. Our advanced choirs tour nationally and abroad! Listen to New World Singers performing in Spain below. Beginning choirs perform fewer outside events, while advanced choirs have more performing obligations. CCC makes every effort to provide families with 6 weeks notice before a special event.

Joining the Choir: Students in our five home choirs typically apply between April-August for the following year, but are welcome to arrange an audition at any point throughout the year. All interested singers/families may complete the New Member Application Form. Once you have completed the New Member Application Form and submitted the $15 application fee, a staff member will contact you to arrange an audition. Staff are available to answer questions by email or phone.
