Columbus Children’s Choir was honored to celebrate Artistic Director Jeanne Wohlgamuth’s return to Carnegie Hall as a guest conductor for a choral festival performance presented by MidAmerica Productions on June 28, 2026.
This invitation marks the second time Jeanne has been selected to lead a festival choir at one of the world’s most iconic concert venues, a recognition of her artistic leadership and dedication to choral music.
As part of the festival, Jeanne conducted a performance of James Mulholland’s Missa Romantica with the New England Symphonic Ensemble. The performance also featured singers from CCC’s Presto Choir and New World Singers, who will join talented choirs from Los Angeles and Connecticut for this unique musical collaboration.
Jeanne’s invitation reflected the excellence she brings to every rehearsal, performance, and musical experience she creates for young singers. Her commitment to helping children grow through music continues to open doors that many young musicians only dream of.
For our Presto Choir and New World Singers, the journey to Carnegie Hall was about so much more than the performance itself. Many long rehearsals, new friendships, shared challenges, and unforgettable moments all led to an opportunity to make music together on one of the world’s most iconic stages.
At Columbus Children’s Choir, we believe that meaningful musical experiences have the power to shape lives. We are incredibly proud of Jeanne, our singers, and everyone who helped make this extraordinary opportunity possible. Their performance at Carnegie Hall stands as a testament to the dedication, talent, and spirit of our entire CCC community.
