Columbus Children’s Choir is excited to present its 8th Annual Choral Festival for middle and elementary singers. This year, we are ecstatic to welcoming composer, Ken Berg! You will know Ken for his wonderful arrangement of this “This Little Light of Mine” and “Solfege Suite”.
Ken is a native of the Virginia / North Carolina region and a graduate of Samford University. For 28 years he was the Director of Choirs and Fine Arts Chairman at John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, Alabama before retiring in 2005 to become the Music Minister and Resident Composer at Mountain Brook Baptist Church.
In 2011, Ken retired from church work to become the first full-time Music Director and Resident Composer for the Birmingham Boys Choir. He and his wife Susan are the proud parents of two sons, Michael and David; both fine musicians in their own right, as well as Birmingham Boys Choir alumni!
