March 24, 20202020 has quickly become another eventful and celebratory year for CCC!
Last month, The Columbus Foundation recognized a handful of local organizations at their annual “National Number Ones” celebration luncheon. The event honors those organizations that have not only made outstanding contributions within the community of Columbus but have also been recognized and awarded nationally for those same achievements.
Among the handful of businesses and nonprofits to receive the honor of being named one of Columbus’ National Number Ones is our very own New World Singers! The Columbus Foundation acknowledged CCC’s top ensemble for winning the American Prize in Choral Performance during the 2018-2019 year. They received the top prize in the Youth and Children’s Choir Division. Representatives at the event were NWS director, Jeanne Wohlgamuth, and NWS singer Kanako Mansuike (a senior at Dublin Jerome High School). CCC has previously been chosen to be a part of this select group of local organizations honored by the Columbus Foundation in 2011, in honor of their American Prize win during the 2009-2010 year.
If you want to find out more about the other organizations represented this year and their achievements, visit the Columbus Foundation’s article about this year’s event.
