29th Season Board of Trustees
September 17, 2024Seasonal Recipes
December 10, 2024One of the Thanksgiving traditions in my family is going around the table before we begin our meal, with each person sharing something they’re grateful for. As I reflect on this season, one of the things I’m most thankful for is the incredible community that makes up Columbus Children’s Choir. Every rehearsal, concert, and event reveals a spirit of support, dedication, passion, joy, and collaboration that brings us all together. Being part of this family of singers, parents, staff, and supporters who deeply believe in the transformative power of music is truly a blessing. Taking the time to pause and reflect on what I’m grateful for has such a lasting effect—it keeps me grounded, helps me appreciate everyone more fully, and reminds me of the positive impact we can create together.
To our parents, thank you for the countless ways you support your children and our choirs. Your commitment, encouragement, and trust make everything we do possible, and I’m so grateful for each of you.
To our directors, thank you for the guidance, skill, and heart you bring to our choirs. Your leadership helps shape not only remarkable musicians but also confident, compassionate young people. We’re so fortunate to have you as part of this journey.
To our singers, thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and the joy you bring to each performance. Your beautiful voices lift us all, and your dedication reminds us every day of the incredible impact music can have. It’s a privilege to watch you grow and share your talents with our audiences.
To our staff, thank you for all the behind-the-scenes work you do to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your dedication, attention to detail, and support make all of our efforts possible, and I’m incredibly grateful for your contributions.
And to our supporters, thank you for believing in our mission and helping us bring the joy of music to life. Your generosity and encouragement have a lasting impact on each child and on our entire choir family, and we couldn’t do this without you.
As we move forward into the holiday season, let’s continue to carry the warmth and gratitude we feel today into every rehearsal and performance. Together, we will keep building something extraordinary—creating memories, inspiring one another, and making the world a brighter, happier place through music.
Happy Thanksgiving to all, and thank you for being such an important part of this journey.
Sincerely,
Jeanne M. Wohlgamuth
